6 Must-Try Date Night Spots in San Diego
It's no secret that San Diego is home to many incredible restaurants and bars. Essentially? This city is a date-night dream come true. There is never a shortage of new and trendy places to try. So, next time your in a pinch for planning your next hot date (yes, it can be with your bestie), check out one of these places for a guaranteed fun & delicious experience.
BARBUSA
Located in Little Italy, Barbusa is my (current) favorite Italian food spot in San Diego. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - making it the perfect place to impress that cute foodie you matched with on Hinge. The ambience is perfect for chatting over a glass of wine and splitting some apps, pasta, pizza, or all three! Make sure you make that rezzy in advance, since it's a popular destination!

PART TIME LOVER
This North Park bar is trendy & lounge-y, with a dim ambience and velvety couches. Their cocktails are delicious, and there's a built-in record shop that you can explore (and that doubles as a perfect conversation starter! Thanks @parttimeloverhifi). Be ready to wait in a line that gets pretty hefty after 9 PM, making it a great early evening spot to grab a drink before dinner.

MADISON
Also located in North Park, Madison may be best known for it's award-winning dining space, second only to their incredible food. Be sure to sit inside to experience its tall cedar walls and beautiful furniture. They serve modern mediterranean food, making it a delicious spot for dinner, or an aesthetic spot to grab a couple cocktails.
THE GRASS SKIRT
You can never go wrong with a Tiki Bar! The Grass Skirt is a speakeasy located behind a Poke shop in Pacific Beach. It's a spot where you're guaranteed to have fun - how can you not when you're drinking gin out of a glass shaped like a toucan?? They even have a tequila drink which arrives set aflame. Decked out with tiki-themed decor, this is a must-try!

WOLFIE'S CAROUSEL BAR
Wolfie's Carousel Bar became Instagram famous upon it's opening - and rightfully so. Wolfie's has a full carousel in the center of the bar, which you can sit around alongside the bobbing horses! Each table is in it's own little carriage. We went only for drinks and desserts - and I can personally vouch for the creme brûlée - you won't regret it! This is another spot you'll want to book your reservation in advance to secure your spot at this adorable bar.
THE MELTING POT
An oldie but a goodie, this iconic fondue spot is perfect for when you want to splurge a little (and are ready to really eat!) The three-course dinner and dessert is perfect for splitting between two. You'll get to choose your cheese appetizer, your meats to cook for an entree, and then between many different chocolate types for dessert (this one will be the hardest decision)! This interactive date-night spot is sure to impress!
